The Madeleine Sone Wildlife Preserve

The Madeleine Sone Wildlife Preserve was created by a bequest from Madeleine Sone at her death in 2016. The Preserve is comprised of 24 acres with several ponds, a redwood canyon, and the Loop Trail, created by Madeleine and always open to the public.

The Preserve is a California Public Benefit Corporation whose stated purpose is:

To protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and resources; to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; to engage in environmental, educational, land management, and agricultural activities for the benefit of the public; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.

The Madeleine Sone Wildlife Preserve is recognized by the IRS as exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
